I had an amazing time working at Crystal Dynamics and cannot recommend the studio highly enough. The primary reason I had such a positive experience was the people I worked with--Studio Manager Sean Vesce, Executive Producer Graeme Bayless, and Senior Producer John Chowanec were an incredible group of people to work for. They constantly made me feel like I was part of the Crystal family and that my opinions and work were highly valued.
In addition to the work I did with Project, Visio, and Excel, I got to exercise my editing skills. I reviewed and edited concept design docs, and integrated two existing Production and Marketing workflows to form a larger single workflow document. Furthermore, shortly after my arrival, "Chow" started a weekly seminar for the four Crystal interns about production in the video game industry. The topics of the seminars included "Production Process from Start to Finish", "Scheduling", "Organization, Communication, and Meetings", "Workflows/Pipelines", "Budgeting/Producer Tools", "Leadership", and "Personnel Management". I learned so much about production during my time at Crystal Dynamics, and I will always be grateful for such a fantastic educational experience.
